Let’s set this straight: I love food. I’m not a picky eater, I enjoy dining with friends and family, and I appreciate nice restaurants that serve the best of food. I didn’t grow up eating chicken nuggets and I certainly don’t eat any of that now. I am finishing up my freshman year in high school and many people say I can pass as someone older – I certainly eat like someone older. I am fortunate enough to live in New Jersey, right outside of New York City – it’s great because my older sister, who lives in the heart of Manhattan, is surrounded by great restaurants and I’m only a few miles away! Of course, Jersey also has some pretty great places to dine, as well. So, as a teenage girl who likes to eat, I’m grateful to be surrounded by fabulous places to eat.
Since I’m growing up in the generation of Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and group chats with friends, pictures mean everything. Instagrams filled with “artsy” snippets of my meal, plus Snapchat stories of “FITA” (Food in the Air), I spend my days capturing images of my best #eats.
This blog may end up being a continuous chain of advertisements for the places where I eat, but even so, I plan to document some sick-nasty (the way I explain amazing food) meals, insane desserts and everything in between.
So, if you’re a foodie like me, or you’re just here to listen to the thoughts of a fourteen-year-old, I hope you enjoy these posts about amazing food as much as I loved eating the food itself!
